Miti-Gate®R MANUAL BARRIER - PROTECTING PEOPLE & PLACES (CSG 10940R

Miti-Gate®R MANUAL BARRIER - PROTECTING PEOPLE & PLACES (CSG 10940R

Miti-Gate®R Manual ‘Crash Tested’ Barrier

Launching the WORLDS FIRST Vehicle Security Barrier (VSB) independently tested to IWA14-1:2013, PAS68 and CPNI Vehicle Attack Delay Standards (VADS), ensuring the most comphrensive protection against small, medium and large vehicle threats.

The Miti-Gate®R is our latest manual swing barrier, borne from the highly sucessful Miti-Gate® introduced by Cova Secrity Gates in 2012. Redesigned and Redeveloped to take account of new and emerging vehicle threats.

Having sucsessfuly completed 4 unique impact tests, the Miti-Gate®R is the only manual swing barrier to TRULY 'mitigate' against all recognised vehicle threats

Why develope a swing gate to mitigate small, medium and large vehicle attacks?
Sadly we have witnessed increasing events where small and medium vehicles have been used a weapon to stage an attack, spesificlly to inflict harm on innocent people gathering in open and public spaces, highlighting the need for increased protection against all vehicles threats.

Traditionally Cova Security Gates have lead the way in developing perimiter secuirty solutions designed and tested to stop high mass, high-speed vehicle attacks. Today we are also concerning ourselves with protecting people and places against smaller vehicles using a range of attack methods. Importantly the design philosophy used to deal with higher velocity high mass attacks are not always suitable for a 4x4 or a small car, as such we have spent considerable time and energy ensuring one gate is effective in stopping multiple vehicle types.

Purposely designed as a low maintenance solution, suitable for locations with no access to electrical power yet require complete protection from a range of vehicle-borne threats.
Ideal for high streets, town centres, airports, markets and sports stadiums where the solution needs to be permenant or semi-permanent.

YOUR Duty to Protect People and Places
The current terrorism threat level to the United Kingdom is set as SUBSTANTIAL, meaning an attack is likely.

With the proposed The Protect Duty placing greater emphasis on duty holders to 'mitigate' against threats to their event, and with recent relaxing of Covid-19 restrictions opening the doors to events such as Christmas markets, sports events or concerts, NOW is the time to review your security needs.

Do you already have our original Miti-Gate installed?
Don't worry we have thought of you too!
The original Miti-Gate® leaf can be swapped out for our new Miti-Gate®R leaf, leaving the original bollards in situ. Effortlessly increasing your protection without the need for any additional groundworks, making this an affordable solution to todays vehicle threats.

With a clear width availability of up to 8 meters utilising a single leaf, sited between 2 x HVM Crash Tested Shallow Depth Bollards, this is the most cost-effective, simple, crash-rated manual barrier in the world offering maximum protection.

CPNI Vehicle Attack Delay Standard (VADS) rating. More essential reading and information on VADS can be found on the CPNI website:

Patented arrestor system
The Miti-Gate®R comprises our patented arrestor system within an aluminum enclosure and is designed to be mounted between Cova’s standard range of static crash rated shallow depth bollards and is secured with a hinge and locking pin.

It can be finished in your choice of RAL.No, or as we have done for many clients, as the 8m wide large flat surface on both faces of the barrier lend themselves to be branded corporately or with specific messages, advertising and can also be finished to blend with the installed environment.
