Company Update
Following governmental guidelines published in April, confirming that manufacturing is a critical part of our economy during the Coronavirus pandemic, it is the case that Cova Security Gates have been committed to running a ‘business as usual’ policy, ensuring that our products and services remain available to our clients at this unprecedented time.
Colleagues who can work from home have done so and adapted incredibly efficiently, with production and field service departments continuing to work at almost full capacity whilst strictly adhering to governmental guidelines. This has enabled us to continue in our commitment to our customers’ orders, installations, servicing, and maintenance throughout.
During this time, the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, customers and suppliers has been of paramount importance, and we are grateful to our highly skilled production and field service teams for their dedication during the most challenging of times.
We appreciate all of their dedication and support.
#TeamCova are all here as usual to support you with your perimeter security needs.

For those who have been working from within our factory, we are operating a highly stringent social distancing and cleansing policy to best government guidelines.
• Hand sanitizers for all staff.
• Imposing restrictions on movement around the building and factory.
• Encouraging phoning, emailing, messaging or video calling between colleagues.
• Prohibiting any external visitors into our Head Office and Factory.
• Internal cleaning regime continues to happen to 3 times a day, every day.
• Implementation of a new Company Policy to phone ahead to our suppliers and clients if we are to collect parts or make deliveries to pre-agree personal interaction to ensure the safety of everyone.
• Procedures put place to handle the welfare of colleagues who suspect they may be unwell, regardless of where they are working to ensure they do not pose a risk to others.
Our continued investment in the latest hardware and technologies (including Microsoft Dynamics online), have ensured that our implementing of our emergency business continuity plan at this critical time, was seamless.
For our Commercial, Marketing and Finance colleagues, many already had the facility to work from home, so for them it’s 'business as usual'.
Our experienced Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers have the latest 3D cad software on high-powered mobile workstations, making the move to home working straightforward. They continue to service the requirements of the projects they are engaged on and are supported with a member of the team at the office. The team have daily video call briefings to discuss the progression and developments on each of our UK and International projects.
As you would expect, our Field Service Engineers are equipped to be fully mobile and as such they have the latest technology to communicate with our Fields Service administrators and work with our systems. We are ensuring our Cova Care Team are in touch ‘real-time’ with new installations, planned maintenance appointments or emergency call outs while they too work remotely.
We took extra steps and measures to ensure our engineers can continue to visit our clients without putting them or our clients at risk, please contact our Service Admin team for further details by emailing [email protected] or contact us.
Our Production Team are working at full capacity with fabrication, fitting and factory testing going ahead as per our production plan and we currently do not envisage any delays to existing or forthcoming orders.
Due to the size of our facilities (some of our gates are huge), social distancing is implemented at all times.
We are in daily contact with our supply chain to ensure we have sufficient stock of all we need to maintain the factory capability.
We are monitoring the situation closely and taking all government advice.
