Cova Security Gates Factory Chas Registered
Roger Long - 25th May 1949 – 6th July 2022

Cova Security Gates are sad to announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague Roger Long. Roger joined the business in 1993 as a Design Engineer Draughtsperson remaining within the Design department as an R&D Engineer until retirement in 2014.

A key member of the CSG team, Roger was instrumental in the design of the World's First Trackless Bi-Folding gate in both standard and HVM form as well as many Cova Security Gates' core product range. Anyone who knew Roger, knew that contingency was built into any product design. His most infamous copied by a competitor - who knows what purpose they thought it served!

Roger's enthusiasm, patience and skill was infectious, and he was always more than willing to support anyone, not only within CSG but the wider community. Roger will be sadly missed, and our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Farewell Roger

KEEP SAILING!!!

A very happy Roger, following the success of the CSG 10506 road blocker crash testing.
