Cova is delighted to announce that after extensive research and development, the innovative new CSG 10140 Sliding Cantilevered Gate has achieved a successful PAS 68:2010 rating under TRL test guidelines, using a Mercedes 7.5 tonne flatbed truck. The formal PAS classification granted is Sliding Gate V/7500(N2)/64/90:2/0.
Providing a cost effective, impenetrable and compliant solution, this gate outwardly has the appearance of a non crash tested sliding cantilevered gate, yet is not constructed from costly, large steel section. This offers the potential to design a gate which will blend in with existing perimeter security fencing etc. Furthermore, with an installation depth of only 400mm, the product has a low foundation cost and avoids interference with existing services/utilities.
The reduced large steel section requirement for construction delivers a hostile vehicle mitigation product to the world's critical infrastructure at an extremely realistic cost, covertly and reliably, and with standard field-proven automation, safety and control interfaces. Under test conditions, the CSG 10140 restrained and immobilised the vehicle with 2m dynamic penetration and no dispersal of major debris.
